Sarah is Available to Direct the Following Types of COntent:
DOCUMENTARY
Documentaries
Sarah has been making documentaries since high school when she got her hands on her first video camera (the Sony Hi-8 Camcorder, of course) at age 16. Sarah loves capturing the human experience through her lens and shining a light on stories that represent women in all of their complexities, flaws, strength and beauty. Sarah’s films gravitate towards women who are blazing trails, redefining stereotypes, and are truly ordinary women doing extraordinary things - even if that comes in the form of extraordinary courage to speak up for oneself. Sarah’s films are intertwined with social impact and each one has been used as a tool for discussion and change and to uplift, inform and inspire audiences worldwide.
Narrative
Narrative
Narrative filmmaking has always been Sarah’s first love and recently she has directed two short narrative films, both based on true stories - bridging the gap between her documentary work and narrative. Sarah loves working with a talented team of people to bring a story to life - from the cinematography, to the production design, to working with actors, she enjoys how although another form of storytelling, it is very different from the skill set she possesses in doc filmmaking. Sarah’s next dream is to direct a narrative feature film, certainly with a strong female protagonist at the helm.
Branded Content
Branded Content
In the branded content and commercial realm, Sarah brings all of her talents from documentary and narrative filmmaking in order to work effectively for any client or brand. Sarah has had the pleasure to work on short form projects for a variety of brands from 6 second and 15 second spots to 25 min short docu-style projects and digital content for social media. Sarah loves diving in and finding creative ways to appease the brand while still holding true to her storytelling instincts and unique point of view.
